Edwin T. Baruma


Edwin, is holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from ESAMI (East and Southern Africa Management Institute) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc.EE) from Makerere University.

Until over 8 years ago where served as Director of Operations for the entire African continent, currently his majority shareholder in DI International Limited, As the Managing Directors. His responsible for the provision of visionary and strategic leadership for the organization; manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization. He is also responsible for over sight supervision for Malaysia and Philippines related tasks at the country Mother DPC (Dynapharm Pickup Centers/Outlets) opening and Management. He plans and guides country operations and Management. He is further expected to initiate plan and guide country/regional promotion and supervise and monitor all country progress under his jurisdiction.

Douglas Kisakye Ssentongo

Chief Accounting Officer

Douglas a qualified accountant with training from Bangalore University - Garden City College with qualification in Bachelor of Business Management – International Business Accounting has risen under the ranks with roles such MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT DI INTERNATIONAL LTD, CHIEF ACCOUNTANT DI INTERNATIONAL and now CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER DIAMOND INTERESTS INTERNATIONAL LTD.

With strong competence in Financial Accounting, Laws and Practice of Banking and Corporate Accounting he is in charge of supervising Accounts activities, prepare budgets. Avail financial data for internal and external audits for the DI Group Companies (DNG Uganda, DNG Burundi, Dynapharm S. Sudan, Brisk Restaurant & Bar, DI Chicken Poultry Farm Ltd, Premium Farm Ltd & DI Hair Factor Ltd).

Dominic S K J Noronha

Chief Financial Officer

Dominic S K J Noronha, a qualified Finance Professional, a CMA (USA), ACMA (India), PGDBM {India}. B.Com(India} professional over 29 years of experience in Finance Management, Strategic Business Budget Planning, Financial Statement Analysis- IFRS, Audits, Tax{Direct/Indirect(VAT)}, Capital Expenditure Management, Revenue Enhancement & Profit Growth and Reporting & Compliance. He has worked in India, Mauritius, Sultanate of Oman & United Arab Emirates. Exposure in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Non-Banking Financial Companies & Service industries. Implemented ERP systems (Oracle & SAP) and ensured adequate internal controls. Expert in fund management, working capital & utilization and liaison with Banks/FIs & Regulatory Authorities, Enterprising leader with excellent communication, management & negotiation skills with capabilities in formulating accounting systems and conceptualizing accounting records/ financial statements with teams of 50.

DynaPharm International, as a Financial Consultant, African Region, in Uganda Nov 2018. Responsible for existing operations of the Group Companies in the African Region (South Africa, Equatorial Guinea, Swaziland, Lesotho, Mozambique, Mauritius, Comoros, Gabon, Burundi & Uganda).Assessing company’s financial status & analyzing investment plans. Sourcing and evaluating capital expansion options, including loans and funding. Implementation of control mechanism in the various markets.

Shirley Baruma

Head Of HR & Legal

Shirley a LLB Makerere University graduate with post graduate diploma in legal practice from Law Development Center has successful experience leading negotiations on complex, high value, contracts, and agreements having previously worked with private law firm Okallany & Co Advocates and Kampala Capital City Authority as a senior lawyer.

Her work in the fast-paced, fast-evolving and dynamic environment propelled her in leading position at DI Group where she provides senior leadership across the business with strategic and operational guidance, aiding them in the management of litigation issues such as contract disputes and product liability. In this capacity she is also charged with reviewing and providing advice to the business upon request on matters concerning applicable contracts required for operation of the business.

Shirley also provides proactive, in-depth, legal, business-focused advice to the business and staff, as well as implementing initiatives and processes while setting standards and reinforcing a culture of integrity, quality, ethical behavior and responsibility across the group.

She is also tasked with analyzing and identifying the legal risks and implications of all of the business’s transactions, keeping the senior management in all departments of the business informed of developments in laws and regulations that potentially affect the business.

Lydia Nabeega

Head Internal Audit

A graduate from Makerere University Business School with Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce in Accounting and I have also attained level one CPA from ICPAU(Institute of Certified Public accounting).

I have worked with Jim Roberts and Associates a local auditing firm as an external auditor and currently working as an internal auditor at DI GROUP OF COMPANIES.

I am Involved in the development, review and monitoring of the Strategic Initiatives as well as the annual risk based audit plans of the Internal Audit Department to ensure the delivery of the value based assurance and consulting services to the Board and Management in the areas of risk management, governance and internal controls needed for the achievement of the overall strategic objectives of the company in all the markets around Africa.

I also manage performance and development of staff in line with the company policy and Audit Department staff development needs in addition to coordinating and supervising audit engagements to ensure quality and guide staff in line with Audit standards and risk based methodology and to prepare reports that add value to the achievement of company objectives.

Kahumuza Katusiime Lydia

Head of Monitoring and Evaluation / Inventory Management

Improving business efficiency by coordinating various efforts to improve cash flows, reduce expenses and enjoy value for money.

Kahumuza Katusiime holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Makerere University, Postgraduate in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute and a Diploma in Law from Law Development Centre, enriched with over 10 years vast working experience in the Financial and Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industries.

She implements and oversees inventory management and evaluation on a day to day basis, business negotiations, procures new inventory, tracks inventory status and is charged with maintaining good relationships with the business stakeholders. She provides business regional analysis by providing performance data to establish trends and changes in the supply chain landscape within Eastern, Southern, Western Africa, the Comoros and Mauritius. Her professional experience and education background have facilitated her delivery of a comprehensive view on the productivity process including how to accurately measure progress beyond simply reporting figures.

Gilbert Agaba

Operations Manager

Gilbert holds a Bachelors’ Degree in science in Accounting and Finance, 2nd level ACCA and Computerized accounting systems. He has worked with different companies and organisations in different capacities but majorly in accounts and finance both in Uganda and out of Uganda.

He currently supervises and coordinates all DI operations both in Uganda and out of Uganda. His professional areas of expertise range from Business Administration, Financial Management and accountability, Accounting, research and Innovation, Project Development & Management etc.
